Comparison between SA179 material and SA214 material

Comparison between SA179 material and SA214 material

Firstly, let's take a look at the basic information of these two materials. SA179 material is a new type of alloy material with super strong corrosion resistance, and its main application field is in the aerospace field. SA214 material is a super alloy with excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, mainly used in fields such as marine engineering. It can be seen that both materials are outstanding in their respective fields and have their own unique advantages.

So, how do we compare them? From the perspective of applications in the aerospace field, the advantage of SA179 material lies in its high corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue resistance. This means that using SA179 material on high-speed equipment such as airplanes and rockets can greatly improve their service life and safety. SA214 material is slightly inferior in these aspects, but it has higher strength and hardness, making it more suitable for manufacturing structural and load-bearing components.

Difference In Applications Of ASME SA179 & SA 214 Tubes:

SA 179 tubes are in big demand in various applications and industries such as chemical, industrial pipelines, light, instrument, medical, petroleum, food, machinery, mechanical structure parts, etc. SA 214 tubes are used in a large number of industrial processes and applications such as transport, agriculture and various industrial related end uses.

Supplier & Exporter Of Carbon Steel A214 & A179 Heat Exchanger Tubes

We also supply our clients with various kinds of documentations such as:  Fumigation Certificates, Heat Treatment Charts, Commercial Invoice which includes HS Code, Guarantee Letter, Packing List (inclusive of numbers and marks, gross weight, net weight, number of boxes), Material Traceability Records, Laboratory Test Reports approved by NABL, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Form A, Certificate of Origin legalized, Raw Material Test Reports and Welding Procedure Specification. We even supply our clients with Material Test Certificates (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1/ EN 10204 3.2 and Test Certificates certifying NACE MR0103/ NACE MR0175.

We adopt very rigorous methods to ensure that all of our SA 214 & SA 179 tubes conform to international quality standards. With this purpose in mind, we run all of these tubes through some of the toughest quality tests, including the likes of Spectro Analysis, Micro and MacroTest, Flaring Test, Hardness Test, Flattening Test, PMI Testing, Mechanical Testing such as Tensile of Area, Pitting Resistance Test, Intergranular Corrosion (IGC) Test, etc. It is only when these SA 214 tubes & SA 179 tubes have cleared all of these tough quality tests, do we then dispatch them to our clients.

However, from the perspective of application in the field of marine engineering, the advantages of SA214 material are reflected. Its high strength and hardness make it more suitable for manufacturing marine engineering equipment and can withstand the impact of various harsh environments. However, SA179 material is relatively weaker and not suitable for use in the field of marine engineering.

Of course, this does not mean that SA179 material is completely inferior to SA214 material. Both materials have their own advantages and disadvantages in different application fields and under different usage conditions. We cannot generalize which material is better, but rather choose the appropriate material based on actual needs.

In summary, the comparison between SA179 material and SA214 material is a very interesting topic, as they each have their own advantages and disadvantages. In different application fields and conditions, we need to choose suitable materials based on actual needs. I believe that with the continuous progress and innovation of technology in the future, we will have more and better materials to choose from and use!
